How to get there

 
The City of Rotorua and Hamurana Lodge Boutique Hotel are in the heart of the North Island, just 60 kilometres (37 miles) south of Tauranga, 80 kilometres (50 miles) north of Taupo, 105 kilometres (65 miles) east of Hamilton, and 230 kilometres (140 miles) southeast of Auckland.

 

GETTING TO ROTORUA BY AIR

Air New Zealand is an international and domestic airline group providing services within New Zealand, as well as to and from Australia, the South West Pacific, Asia, North America and the United Kingdom.
 
Air New Zealand flies to 27 domestic destinations across New Zealand's North and South Islands, with direct daily services to Rotorua from Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, Queenstown (from September 2012) and twice weekly from Sydney (3 times weekly between December 20, 2012 and January 31, 2013).

- 5 minutes from Rotorua airport
- 1 hour from Auckland airport

 

FROM ROTORUA AIRPORT

Turn left out of the gate and continue for 9km. At the north end of the lake turn left at Mourea into Hamurana Road and follow the signs to Ngongotaha. Hamurana Lodge Boutique Hotel is located 100-meter on the right after the Tauranga Direct Road SH36.
 

BY ROAD

- 15 minutes from the centre of Rotorua
- 20 minutes from Rotorua International and Domestic Airport
- Under 3 hours drive from Auckland 
 

FROM NGONGOTAHA

From SH5 north of Rotorua (at the roundabout) turn onto SH36 signed for Tauranga. Pass through the Ngongotaha village and continue on for 5km where you will find Hamurana Lodge Boutique Hotel on your left, 100-meter after the 80k zone Hamurana signage and before the Tauranga Direct Road SH36.

 

FROM TAURANGA & THE COROMANDEL

Take the SH36 through Pyes Pa from Tauranga to Rotorua. You will reach a T intersection at Hamurana. Turn right and you will find Hamurana Lodge Boutique Hotel 100-meter along on your right.
